Noah Ashton Impresses With “Dream Girls Club”
Hoboken, New Jersey rapper Noah Ashton is back with a music video for the “Dream Girls Club (Remix),” initially released on his January 16 project “Before We Hit the Club.” The remix features a sticky verse from female emcee V.Bandzz, who steps in as the track’s “dream girl.” It’s an exciting meeting of cloud rap and Jersey club styles, and the Hoboken native makes sure to stay true to that homegrown ethos. CairoCookedit and WootenMadeIt come through with an energetic instrumental featuring that signature Jersey club kick pattern, topped off by the catchy melodies and writing that Ashton and V.Bandzz bring to the table.
If you’ve been paying attention to hip-hop over the past year or so, you’ve surely heard the phrase “Jersey club” thrown around at least once. Drake’s 2022 release “Honestly, Nevermind” was very dance influenced, with a couple tracks having a distinctly New Jersey feel to them. Lil Uzi Vert did the same in October 2022 with “I Just Wanna Rock.” It’s great that New Jersey is finally getting the attention it deserves on a global scale right now, but it is even more important to acknowledge the smaller, local artists that are pushing the boundaries of hip-hop and club music every day. Noah Ashton does just that on “Before We Hit the Club,” and “Dream Girls Club (Remix)” is the perfect single to put you on to one of New Jersey’s hottest artists right now.
