HIGHWAY DROPS NEW EP, “LIVIN’ LIKE THAT”
This week, Seattle rapper Highway returns with the new hard-hitting EP, Livin Like That. Highway has been on the scene for years having produced for Chief Keef and now making the move from producer to vocal artist. The EP opens with “We Can Go”, an already popular track of his co-produced by Internet Money co-founder Nick Mira. His bars are sing-songy and still traditional as he cuts through a melodic beat with harsh and driving lyrics. Other highlights include the hard-hitting “By Myself ft Destroy Lonely”, a standout artist from Playboi Carti’s Opium clique.
He is a fresh face on the scene in regards to rapping, but Highway has paid his dues as an in-demand producer. Now that he has crossed over to rap, he has gotten cosigns and publicity from some of the biggest names in the industry. Signed to Victor Worldwide/Geffen Records, Highway is here to prove that rap is not done evolving, as his sound is both reminiscent of the old guard of trap music as well as the ever changing-face of new trap and flex rap. Highway’s Livin Like That EP solidifies him as one of the most exciting new voices in the rap game.
