Frankie LaCarrubba Is Back with “Bergamot” Single

Frankie LaCarrubba just came out with a new single “Bergamot” following the releases of her previous songs, “Gaslight”, and “Circles” (feat. Hill Top Swim Club). Hilltop Swim Club had a hand in this special single, as well as her frequent collaborator Caleb Matheson.

In an age where artists are making music for short catchy TikTok sounds, Frankie is providing a respite for those of us searching for meaningful lyrics and simply beautiful melodies. Her vocals are angelic, and the instruments are refreshingly recognizable. She explores the pain of losing yourself in another in a way that is achingly hopeful. She has the unique ability to write lyrics that unlock complex emotions including a fear of change and desire for security, but the overall need to find oneself again.

No stranger to powerful metaphors, Frankie paints pictures with her words. Not just anyone can come up with these lyrics: “careful to ask what you think because I’ll be in chains” and “Tried on a red coat and didn’t fit quite right so I took it off and felt like myself for the first time.” The overall effect of her soft layered vocals, impressive playing of guitar, and unique point of view is enchantment. Whether you’re in the mood to cry, or merely listen to calming music, “Bergamot” is for you.
