E Bleu delivers new track titled “4am”
“4am” sees Houston’s E Bleu fuse reggaeton and R&B to the point where the lines between the two genres (and sometimes the languages) are blurred. Throughout the opening verse, Bleu’s mumbly croons sound almost like Spanish. Given his ability to weave the language into songs like “3am”, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he were actually speaking it. The warm, bass heavy reggaeton inspired instrumental lends a hand in Bleu’s ability to blend both genres and languages. All in all, the song is an ode to letting alcohol get the best of you. This theme is illustrated in the chorus where Bleu details all of the mistakes he’s made due to “the drink talking”.
