Cam Will delivers wavy new project “Separation Summer”
Milwaukee’s Cam Will’s new project “Separation Summer” is a collection of seven tracks that are both meditative and catchy. Integrating both classic and modern aspects of hip-hop and r&b, the project has a summery vibe that is a perfect fit for parties and summer car rides. Some tracks that you should definitely check out are “Blood Bond” with Tre$o, “Ion Care”, and “100 of These (Too Young)”.
To some, being from a place like Milwaukee might seem like a place unsuitable for a rapper. With the exception of QC signee Lakeyah who graces this year’s XXL Freshman Cover, there aren’t many notable Milwaukeeans that are well known within the rap world. However, Cam looks to change that. His focus is to market to a more mainstream audience than some of his Milwaukee contemporaries.
“I have the most commercial sound in Milwaukee. Some people in Milwaukee might not have a sound that can translate into like I couldn’t imaging my grandmom driving to their music or my aunties or little brothers. It’s usually for that specific audience [milwaukee],” Cam explained.
